Dr Fiona Williams PHD, M.A. (Hons), RCH Registered Canine Hydrotherapist

Fiona has spent the past 15 years working with dogs in a number of roles and saw the benefits of hydrotherapy first hand when her own dog required treatment.  She obtained her certificate in Small Animal Hydrotherapy  in 2011 and then went on to work at two leading canine hydrotherapy centres.

In 2013 she became one of the first people in the country to complete the new, Diploma in Small Animal Hydrotherapy.

Fiona has completed a doctorate in Animal Science with the University of Lincoln.  She has co-authored a chapter on pain and behaviour in a widely used physiotherapy textbook and is also involved in work researching this topic.

Fiona worked for the University of Lincoln for 4 years during which time she helped to oversee the development of the Virtual Dog, a 3 dimensional learning resource covering aspects of canine anatomy, behaviour and health.  She was also involved with the European Guide Dogs Mobility Standards project, which aimed to develop a more standardised training programme for Guide Dog Mobility Instructors across a number of European countries.
